OUR PRIMARY GOAL SHOULDN'T BE TO GET INTO SHAPE BUT TO SUBMIT THE BODY TO THE MIND IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE A LOST CONCEPT -----

DISCIPLINE

AND ACHIEVING DISCIPLINE IN OUR EATING HABITS AND IN OUR EXERCISE IS A SIMPLE MATTER.

WE PLAN ON BRINGING BACK SOME OF THAT SIMPLICITY.

BE SIMPLE.

Think of where you are at - and start there.

If you never run - just try and do 30 minutes of walking or running this week.

The key is to do something that takes you a little out of your comfort zone. Just enough to strengthen your will.

Maybe this week...

10 minutes walking/running...

BE CONSISTENT.

So many start strong but stop after one day.

Make a realistic goal right now:

10 minutes a day, 5, 25...it doesn't matter what it is - just stick to it. 

Being consistent is the key to attaining discipline in the body. And in time - you will be unstoppable. 

BE FEARLESS.

The first few days are going to be awful. And your'e going to come up with every excuse in the book to not stick to your resolution. Don't be afraid. Just get out there and do it. Be fearless. That initial pain is just the beginning of an incredible journey towards real discipline and happiness.

BE HONEST.

Do I really need to be eating this right now?

Am I hungry or just bored?

Be honest with yourself - we should eat when we need to not when we want to.

And we always try to justify ourselves for snacking constantly.

NO MORE!

Pick your times for eating in advance and stick to them!

Maybe this week...

3 meals a day...

BE PRACTICAL.

We make these grand resolutions for dieting and it's just unrealistic and we fail so quickly. So be practical.

What is unhealthy eating in your life?

Once you write those things down - just decide to get rid of one of them this week. Not all of them. Just one. Take this one step at a time. Small steps are what lead to good and healthy eating habits.

BE STRONG.

Nothing is harder than resisting that sugary delight or that extra helping. But always remember that a victory right now will increase your discipline which will increase your ability to live true and faithful in your relationships and in your faith. 

Be strong now. It's resisting that temptation in the present that leads to fulfillment in the future.
